Putting together 2 of my favorite things, fish kites and big trees. Trying to learn how to paint nature scenes better. Something new for me, I'd really love to hear any critiques! (:
Thanks everyone for all the comments and watches the other day!! I'm really busy with college apps right now so I haven't said thanks to everyone personally, but I do appreciate it!<33
The textures and shadows are all very nice. It reminds me of my pretend excursions into the wild jungles of Jumanji when I was small. I imagine this would be a wonderful tree to have your kite in
saw this in your tumblr way back and always thought it's a pretty concept<3 where do I start! I just love the tree's color and texture! along with the foliages. (I actually love how the leaves around are so varied!) My favorite part here is the lighting and that little detail in the bottom (that little fish with a reflection in the water : D)
hey, thank you! This one was fun, just started as an experiment and the concept/lighting/little details all slowly formed while working on it! There's soo much variation in plants in tropical areas, it's really amazing to me ;v; Actually the Philippines is a tropical area, isn't it? It must be interesting living there (:
yes it is! I do live in the city so there's really not much nature all around but out of town there's alot of pretty places, beaches and mountains to go to I sort of wish we could experience autumn and winter here though ;-;
oh good, as long as the pretty places are easy to visit :> aw! I bet winter and autumn are good times to travel though, since they're not tourist seasons in most places. We have too much winter here, it makes the summer so short there's barely enough time to grow a garden ;v;
