First off, I'd like to mention the stunning use of colour in this piece. I love how the shades range from purple to bluish, with a hint of orange and green.

The image draws you in with its unusual mix normality and fantasy. At first you see a town, a beautiful town, but then at second glance you see the water, the smoke, and all these eye-catching features.

One of my personal favourite parts about this piece is how the details don't taper off as we move farther and farther into the distance, instead we see the lights shining through windows of houses, a lighthouse, and buildings across the horizon.

This piece really has this mysterious feel to it. You know there's a story behind this, but can't be quite sure what it is! I would have liked to perhaps see a bit more detail on the girl's / women's face, but I think it adds to the mysterious feel.

Amazing!

I think that for the water, in the nighttime scene, you should have used a darker color instead of a lighter color (versus what it untouched by water) for the slightly-distorted path and everything under its surface. All the meanwhile still keeping some light on the surface of the water cast by the moon.

You do not "have" to make your image sharper in detail, it works as a personal style if that is how you like it.

Because of your minimal light sources present, maybe work more with including further shadows and a stronger contrast of dark versus light.

Mi piace un sacco l'illuminazione di tutto il disegno. Mi dà la stessa sensazione che ho avuto in delle isolette in Sicilia, dove l'illuminazione era molto simile! Comunque davvero complimenti! =)

It's inspired by Eze, France! Although it's not strictly realistic, of course ^^ Thanks!
